Yes its true. I still have 8 carousel  Kodak slide projectors and only one works. I still put that one to use. I have approx. 500 kodalith (high contrast black and white film) slides in my archive. Basically photography from my analog projection days. Though I still have rolls of kodalith which I shoot digital images off my laptop screen. Always projects sick with ambient light and existing architecture.
